What are prerequisite to enable Max Secure Firewall on the Windows 2000 Professional, Windows 2000 Server and Windows 2000 Advanced Server?


There are some prerequisite to enable the firewall on the Windows 2000 Professional, Windows 2000 Server and Windows 2000 Advanced Server.

Please install following all files in the mentioned sequence before installing Max Secure Anti Virus on your PC.

1. Install Windows 2000 Service Pack 4
File Name: W2KSP4_EN.EXE

Please download following files.
http://www.maxpcsecure.com/gdiplus.dll
http://www.maxpcsecure.com/winhttp.dll

Copy downloaded winhttp.dll and gdiplus.dll files to "C:\WINNT\system32"
(Here C is the drive where your operating system is installed.)

3. Install the Update Rollup 1 patch.
File Name: Windows2000-KB891861-v2-x86-ENU

4. Install the Security patch.
File Name: Windows2000-KB824151-x86-ENU

5. Install the Windows Installer 3.1.
File Name: WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exe

6. Install Internet Explorer 6 with Service Pack 1
File Name: ie6setup.exe
